Dr. Holtzin graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1988 and was trained in Anesthesiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with additional training in cardiac, thoracovascular and obstetric anesthesiology. He was certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in 1993.
In 1992 Dr. Holtzin joined the Long Island College Hospital Department of Anesthesiology, and was appointed Clinical Director in 2002. During his years at LICH he was closely involved with resident and medical student education, hospital quality assurance and improvement as well as the development of the department’s office-based anesthesia practice. Professional societies include American Society of Anesthesiologists and New York State Society of Anesthesologists.
In 2003 Dr. Holtzin began devoting his practice to outpatient and office-based anesthesia, providing anesthesia services to many prominent plastic surgeons, gastroenterologists, podiatrists and dentists in the New York area. He is licensed in New York and New Jersey, has DEA a certificate and is ACLS certified.
